Default RS6 Steering Rack Swap - Can It Be Done? (on a 2.7t)

While the allroad is still in pieces, I'd like to install the quicker ratio RS6 steering rack, but I have no idea if it will bolt up.

Has anyone looked into this?

I'm not sure, but I'm afaid the firewall and subsequent mounting points may differ between my 2.7t allroad and the 4.2-equipped cars, perhaps even further on the RS6?.

If there's any way to get better gearing, I'd be interested in knowing what steps to take.

Anyone?

Repair manual says that they are identical with the exception of heat shields for the RS6
