Default Update

Since there are few people with similar issues, I thought to provide an update...
Well, after waiting a bit, I finally got news from the dealer. Audi agreed to fix the rust under warranty on all four doors. This is definitely good news. I have appointment in August (they are very busy)
On a flip side, they are insisting on me replacing the blades (door moldings). I kind of agree with the idea since two of them are bent anyways.
I think that I will go with S6 moldings from ebay, but I am still wandering if anyone had those installed?

Thanks for the photos MainlandMig,
I was really thinking if they would actually fit. In other words would the mounting holes be at the same places etc.
I know that they are OEM, but when I called my local dealer he told me that the actual doors for A6 and S6 have different part numbers.
This is why I was not sure.

I will probably go with them due to price difference (they are about 40% of the cost of the regular ones), but I am not 100% sold on the look of them yet.

ditto on the looks

the car above is a 3.2

and i can only guess that the blades are oem

the S6 should have diff part #s for the door blades yes... but for the door themselves? doubt it but maybe.. but that doesnt mean they dont fit... its a pretty common mod ... never heard of any fitment warnings

I am glad to hear that Audi is doing the right thing.

This is excellent news, just make sure the paint match goes perfect after they're all done

It is quite rare thing to happen, but I am sure that all the snow and salt doesn't help either.
