Yes, that's not a problem, it's Sport mode and moves your shift points a little higher in the RPM range before going to next gear to give you better acceleration. So, the engine will be revving a bit higher but that's not a problem.

Yes, they're nice, I always look forward to driving my A6, esp. in the mountains on winding roads.

"it really is a big difference between D and S" Yeah it really is, only thing is it's addicting. Right before I switch lanes, or when i'm ready to punch it i'll drop it into "S" mode. Sometimes I just feel like it holds gears for a ridiculously long time, i'll be driving at a steady cruise sometimes and it'll stay in 2nd for about 7-10 seconds to long. so i'll go back up into D real quick, but haha of course drop it back in S!

haha mine to, but the CT winter will allow the "S" mode some time to rest. But I do really want to stop all the switching back and forth so whenever i'm down to a quarter tank thats when I just drive it in "S" mode until I need to refuel!

I was doing some spirit drivings on my way back from NJ to CT and totally forgot about switching it back to D. Lovely rev, just the right power this car should have.
