S6 and all season tires

I am picking up a new S6 at the dealer this week. I was trying to get all season high performance tires for the car, but tire rack does not offer 265/35 19 A/S tires. Does anyone know whether I can fit 255/40 19 or similar tires on the OEM rims? My dealer does not seem to have a clue.

Get a set of winter tires to go with your summer tires.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Ftires.jsp%3FtireMake%3D Bridgestone%26amp%3BtireModel%3DBlizzak%2BLM-25%26amp%3BvehicleSearch%3Dtrue%26amp%3Bpartnum%3D 635VR9BZLM25%26amp%3BfromCompare1%3Dyes%26amp%3Bpl ace%3D0%26amp%

Well, i would prefer to do without the trouble. I am willing to compromise summer performance for convenience. S6 is not my main performance car. I also have a C4S. For that car I will swap out the tires.

There are several options to choose from. See link below for one option.<ul><li><a href="http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires.asp?lpid=18970&name=Proxes%204â„¢&ca tegory=luxury">http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires.asp?lpid=18970&name=Proxes%204â„¢&ca tegory=luxury</a</li></ul>

I second that question. I would not put all-seasons on the S6. I tried all seasons on my previous BMW 545i and it ruined a good ride. The S6 is a "fun" car and deserves a good set of shoes...and I also have another main-performance car.

Although the S6 may not be your only sports car, it still seems like a shame to hobble it with no-season tires when those tires will never allow the car to perform anywhere near it's limits. A bit like putting a spinter in 4 inch stilettos and asking them to run a race. Might as well get a regular V8 and be done with it IMHO.
