Can anyone tell me how to disable the chime?

while sitting in the car waiting for the wife I like to be unencumbered by the seatbelt.

The chime is just a plain annoyance and in no way has anything to do with me wearing it while driving. The chime should only only come on when drive is engaged.

Please hold your judgements to my question- it has nothing to do with my belief or dis-beleif in wearing a seatbelt.

yea I wear my seat belt EVERYWHERE and sitting in the car waiting for someone or hanging out it still plays even in park...
