Sorry to see you go kelisko, but can't say I blame you. I love my A6 C6 4.2L, but it has become unreliable and very expensive to fix. The latest repair was a radiator leak due to a known issue of the plastic side tank cracking with age. Thanks to your videos on bumper removal and radiator replacement, I was able to save on a $3000 repair bill and replace the radiator myself. I also have a slow oil leak from the seal between the engine block and oil cooler that I have to live with because the location of the seals makes it a very difficult and expensive to replace.

I test drove a new A6 and it felt like they are trying to simulate the driving experience of an electric car- in which case I would just buy a tesla.

As much as I love my A6, I will probably have to move on to another car soon and can't see myself buying another Audi. They just don't last.

its an 08, right before Bluetec came out. I haven't had much issues with it, just the odd air bag here and there. Takes about 45 mins to do the rears. Drives great and the interiors are nice for an older vehicle.

Default Just bought a 09 a6 3.0t quattro:(

Guess I should go ahead and fix the couple of little issues that I bought it with and try to sell for a profit before I get stuck with a pretty penny!

I went Japanese, brand new with 3-year, 100,000 km warranty in the West African market (5-year, 200,000 km elsewhere) and I currently am the happiest man alive. Got delivery two weeks ago. My first brand new car and my first crossover vehicle. Coming from an Audi, I am surprised to realize the Japanese do things simpler, yet better. 1.6 L Naturally Aspirated Multi-Port Injection goodness! Already celebrating 1,000 km!!! This car turns out to be the perfect travel companion with enough power, character, good handling, lots of room, great comfort, a little bit of luxury, and good looks!

dont keep us in the dark without mentioning the model

congrats and enjoy it, buying a new car usuallu brings relaxation and comfort, especially coming from used german cars, which are utter trash reliability wise and there is ALLWAYS something to fix on them.

Congradulations Kelisko!

I have owned Japanese cars for years (Honda & Acura's) as well as German cars (Mercedes & Audi).

The Honda & Acura's have been by far the cheapest cars to own, maintainance mostly consist of fluid & filter changes.

The German cars made me a better DIY mechanic due to issues not related to regular maintenance which required me to research to be able to fix/repair.

Unfortunately for you Kelisko, eventually you may find yourself bored with just fluid & filter changes and wish that something more challnging would go wrong with your new car to resharpen your mechanic skills.

I actually am finally finding time to do sane things I stopped doing because I always had to fix something on my Audi's. I started gardening again and it's so refreshing!
