Hi everyone.

I have a 2.0 tdi 140hp C6 with BLB engine. Yesterday first problem that occured was that car was suddenly out of power completely struggling. After shutting it down and starting back again it was all back to normal, but then on the second ride i heard a loud almost explosion sound (seemed like it came from the right back part of the car). Suddenly a lot of smoke started coming from the exhaust. I stopped the car and looked around and the smoke was coming from left exhaust, there was also some coming from the engine area and there was strong smell of burning oil. We towed the car back home and now im waiting for my mechanic. One thing i noticed is that oil is completely gone when you pull out the stick. I ve read quite some forums and I have some ideas what it could be but I still want to check if someone can at least partly confirm what it could be so I can prepare myself for the costs.

Oh yeah and I forgot coolant level seems to be the same as the last few times i checked.

Sounds like it's f*cked...

I have never had engine make a loud bang then pour smoke... What kind of maintenance have you been doing? Was the car under load the the time it made the bang??

Likely blown cylinder head gasket. Has your engine been overheating lately?

We suspected the turbo and it actually is broken to pieces.
