i've upgraded to the A8. Great car, but A6 wasnt far behind to be honest and it actually has some positives over the A8 in some aspects.

Congrats on the new ride!
Did you pick up a D3 or D4?
What are some Pro's and Cons of going A8?
I'm thinking about dumping my C6 for a D3...

i got a D3. They are not too far apart from each other honestly, but here are my comments regarding the two:

-A8 has most things standard where in A6 you have to make sure the respective package is installed (push start, nav, heated steering wheel,etc)

-Unless you get the 4.2L A6 with air suspension, the A8 ride feel is superior. The A6 does feel more "put together" when you are maneuvering around corners, but for a long wheel base, the A8 is solid in that regard

-a8 back seat space is phenomenal and one of the reasons i got the car. while A6 is very roomy, the a8 is out of this world presidential

-a8 interior design in my opinion is of better quality and overall design. very luxury especially with the roll up screen. my a8 has cooled seats, massage seats, heated steering wheel, all of which my A6 didnt have

- mechanically they are pretty much the same. same trans, engines, etc.

Both are to this day best cars i ever owned.
