I'm taking delivery of a CPO 2010 A6 3.0T this week. The dealer is telling me my interest rate is 3.9% for 60 months through Audi Financial. My credit is near perfect with a score around 800.
Does this rate seem high? Audi is advertising 1.9% on select CPO models and my current rate on a CPO 2008 A6 is 2.5%. Could it be the dealer is trying to make more profit on the back end of the deal by hiking the interest rate?

Historically new car rates have been lower than used car rates at banks. It sounds to me like the dealer or AoA is subsidizing the rates of the CPO cars to clear the lots because of a lot of trade ins for the new body style.

I think they can lower it. I bought a CPO 2008 A6 last fall. The rate was 2.9%. We were a $1000 off to make the deal happen. They called me 2 days later and said Audi will drop the rate to 1.9% to make the deal happen. That covered the 1k difference and they got to say thet sold the car for more.

Thanks for the information. I called Audi Financial and they confirmed 1.9% is on ALL certified models, not select models, but made in error in advertising this. Apparently this should not have been the case. However, my dealer and AFS honored the 1.9%.
