Default swaybar....?

I have an 08 a6 3.2 quattro, I love my car but it does have a few flaws. I feel like the car gets very floaty over 60-70 mph, and alittle loose pulling through sharper turns. It's not as tight and grounded as i'd like.

Any suggestions and could someone recomend a good sway bar.

thanks

Do you have the s-line suspension? If not, you can upgrade to the s-line sway bar, which is prob as much as you need for the road. I upgraded my stock suspension to the s-line, except that I used Koni FSDs as shocks to improve the ride.

H&R has an adjustable rear sway bar. It improved the handling in my 05 4.2.

I have an s-line package but they didn't have the sports suspension available when i got it. Not at that particular dealer anyway. I planned on changing the shocks and even the springs to lower it a bit. Was looking at H&R for those. I'll look into the Koni's.

Eibachs and Koni FSDs are sold as a matched pair. Check TireRack.

Just the thicker rear Audi bar will make a very noticeable difference. Try that before you spring for all the other stuff.

Yea that's what I'm wondering. It's honestly not even often that i get to open it up for long periods of time. My daily commute involves the BQE and new york rush hour traffic.

Anyone have any links to any of these bars your talking about?

The thicker sway bar will reduce roll in corners. However, I was looking for better damping as I found the stock dampers to be overdamped, and quite a bit of low frequency bumps were being transmitted into the cabin.

The s-line + FSDs solved that and reduced the ride height (purely cosmetic), and while ride didn't really suffer, deep potholes showed up the lack of travel.

All in all, I like the combination, and adding lightweight forged rims made it even better as ride improved due to the reduction in mass.

Well, I just measured the Rear sway on my S6 and it's only a 20mm, so the H&R solid 25mm rear should help significantly.
