Default Taking Poll 0w30 or 0w40 ???
So what do you guys prefer to give her, 0w30 or 0w40 motor oil?

I bought Mobil 1 5W-30 (Syn something) and plan to use that for my next oil change. I checked and this oil in the VW approved list of oils.

I use either the 5w30 or the Ow30 never tried the 40 before... Buy 5quart bottle cheaper.

Pep Boys had the 1 gallon (4 quarts) for $20 - and kragen has the 1 quart for $5 special. This worked out even better getting the oil from Costco (6 quart for $35 I think)

It is different between the 3.2 and the 4.2.

I read the 3.2 takes about 6.9 quarts; 4.2 is at 8.1. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct on the 3.2, but the 4.2 is 9.3 quarts.

Mobile 1 full synthetic 0w 40. Manual calls for 6.9 quarts but you will probably end up putting in 6 to 6.5 max with a filter change. At least this is my experience.
