Default TIME FOR MY REAR PADS/ROTORS

hello fellas, i think its time for my rear rotors and pads....

i do have the VAG COM , im just wondering should i got OEM , or some fancy other ones. the front pads are OEM. i dont really care about dust as long as they do the job...

also, how complex of a DIY is it, i am handy, especially when i have a chilled 6 pack lol.

any comments/ advice do's donts are welcome.

and yeah. i have a 05 4.2 sline.
best,
PC

Pads are simple but I hear taking off the caliper bracket in order to pull off yje rotors may be a little difficult due to there being very little room. I think you need to have a 1/2 or 1/4 hex ratchet to get the job done. I too will be doing a complete brake job in the next few weeks.

I ended up using a jack stand to support the suspension, and removed the shock in order to gain more access to the lower carrier bolt. With that out of the way it was very simple.

There are different opinions on what type of pads to choose. But I believe everybody will agree that you should always have the same type of pad on all brakes. You do not want to have part of your brakes biking while other still warming up.
