My 4.2 has 19" wheels stock and the door sticker reflects the 19" tires. I set my pressure in the low to mid 40's and slightly higher than Audi recommends. Otherwise I would be replacing tires every few months due to bubbles. I have already done this and the Pzeros are $400 each.

Maybe Audi changed the pressure due to tire damage caused by low pressure.

BTW - I am in NYC so potholes are inevitable.

I agree, I keep my tire pressure high for low profile tires so I wouldnt dent my rims on a pot hole. 33 psi is way too low for 40 profile tires.

I took a look at the Owner's Manual for our '06 A6 Avant yesterday and was surprised to see detailed inflation info for 16", 17" and 18" wheels. All manuals I've looked at in recent history simply defer to the label on the fuel filler flap or the B pillar. I assumed that was the norm.

Here's our B pillar label:

Here's a scan from the OM:

As noted earlier in this post, the label calls out MAX LOAD only.

I was just re-reading this thread in advance of a long trip and noticed your comment above. I tend to agree with you, but a number of the Audi recommended pressures shown in the posts here, in owner manuals I've looked at and on door frames seem to go the opposite way, at least for the normal load spec. Just thought I would mention this.
