hi!
was thinking of changing the oils in the:
Differential 1,1L
Transfer box 0,5L
Rear differential 1,?L
have any of you changed the oils?
did you use anything else than Audi original?
brand?
specification on the oils?
(local dealer here in Sweden wants 100dollars for 1L Transferbox oil!...is it made of Gold? =O)
cheers!/H

I had the dealer change the transmission and differential fluids in my 05 4.2. I don't remember the cost but it dramatically improved the shifting of the car.

I changed it between 35K and 40K miles. As I said, it made a significant improvement in shifting and the elimination of the Quattro low-speed-turn rumble. My car is now approaching 60K miles and its is still smooth. I will probably change it again at 80K miles.

i can give you p/n nr...but there is 2 different Automatic tranny oils depending on the cars vin/chassies nr.....one yellow oil and one blue as i recall..one really expensive and the other less expensive)..best is to get Audi stock oil from dealer i guess...so you get the right one for your car/transmission software..or whatever determines the right oil..hmm

the trans/diff fluids are as i recall...0,5L for middle box..1.1L for front...and 1.5L for rear...this is for the 2005 Quattro tiptronic..
