How does one get the right part numbers for these? genuineaudiparts.com requires the part numbers and I don't want to order the wrong stuff.

Found a DIY for it- now I only need the part numbers for my car:

http://www.ehow.com/how_4995690_chan...i-quattro.html

Now, I am a little confused about how many fluids need to be replaced. Is this list accurate?

1) Transmission fluid (blue) - dealer has already changed this for me because of chirping tranny TSB. Part # G052 162 A2 (need 8)
DIY here: http://www.ehow.com/how_5000414_chan...i-quattro.html
2) Rear Differential (1.5L) - the DIY for this is on the ehow link; this is just the 'Gear Oil'
3) front Differential fluid?? part #?
3) Center Differential fluid?? part #?
4) Transfer box fluid?? part #?

I placed my order with genuineaudiparts.com and now receive a notification from them they cannot ship oil because of some regulations - WTF?!!!!

Has anyone ordered this stuff (oil etc) from them?! Is it really not legal - then maybe they shouldn't put it on their website...

where are you located -- you may have better luck with audipartsdepot.com. pricing is slightly higher than genuine and they are on the east coast but they run the same setup in terms of ordering parts. give them a call to see if they will ship.

I am in SF bay area and these folks are in San Deigo. I don't understand the fuss. audipartsdepot is higher, but then I guess I won't have to pay sales tax!!

Thanks!!

hi! yes changed them myself..easy to do..best is if you can get the car on a car lift..

How the hell the oil can last "lifetime"!? how long is lifetime!?

Audi and BMW are nuts, their autogearboxs didn't need to change the oil, at least till some time ago, after many autogearbox problems BMW start to include the oil gearbox change in their service plans, now Audi can do the same!
Mercedes change all gear box and diff oil every 60000km, since so many years ago, why not Audi and BMW!!?

Today I was at the dealer to ask if they ever changed my gearbox oil (A6 3.0TDI) and they told that it was not necessary (WTF) and I asked how much it will be since I wanted to change it (by my order)and the response was 500€! (WTF2)
My mercedes when changing gearbox and diff oil only add more ~100€ at the 60000km service invoice!

Shame on you Audi!

PS: car is a 2004 3.0TDI and has 110000km. Have a friend that have the same year/month car and 320000km and new torsen diff last month (Audi payed 50%)!
