are u guys talking about the anti tow alarm button?

its on the drivers door for C6 for C5 it is on B pillar

Alarm should have following features
1-Anti Tow
2-Interior Sensor
3-Force sensor Breaking Glass or Striking vehicle w enough force

as far as the open window interior alarm.. i believe if u leave the windows open ..and then press the alarm key on fob...then after a few minutes ..the interior alarm activates... so if u throw a jacket inside or stick your arm in.. alarm will sound... has happend to me on accident but never tried to recreate it on purpose

Even if you find the button.....it wont matter because the button is a one time use....you push it, set the alarm, come back, unlock the car and its disabled, which mean the alarm WILL ARM next time unless you push the button again.

How long are you waiting after you set your alarm before trying to set it off? Don't try right away, because most alarms have anywhere from a 10-60 delay before the system fully arms.

Set it and walk away for 10-15 min and try again. If it still Doesnt work then your alarm is goofed up.

for the C6 it's suppose to be automatic. It should only take 15-60sec to activate. If you are trying it with the key in range then that's why it's not working. Leave the windows down, lock car, walk in your house put the keys down wait 30 sec, walk back outside and put your hand/body through the window and it should sound. If not then it could have possibly been disabled by a vag-com.

Ha, that's might be it. I did try it with the key fob inside of my pocket all the rime. Smart Audi might know it... I will try without the key in the vicinity.

a wild guess - you are testing alarm with advanced key in your pocket. car senses the key and alarm does not go off

LOL ...Its not my door. Its a pic from a dealer listing car for sale. I am looking for a car for the wife. Technically I DO have a hairline crack in that same area *much smaller than the pic. ive seen them on other A6s so it must be common enough... a weak stress point on door design.

My guess is someone slammed the door while the seat belt was hanging outside ..and the clip got caught just at the right spot.
