The (un)Official A6 Bluetooth Phone Thread

Potential good news here!!!
Working with a service mgr at a local Audi dealer and here is the last email I received from him... I'll certainly keep you all posted:
When did you purchase your car? Also if you can give me the full 17 digit VIN number I would like to send this to our technical rep. What might be happening is Audi supports continuous improvements with their software and the customers who are not experiencing problems might have a later version.
I made arrangements with the technical rep. to stop by in the next few weeks to look at your car. We would like to try a different software level and see if this helps. I am not making any guarantees that we will be successful since the Motorola Razr phone is not an approved model with Bluetooth for Audi's. Will you be in the area the week of the 11th?

Just flashed my v710 with the latest software on 3/24/05
The features are the same but I am hoping the connection will be more consistant. They say to be fully featured you need to sync it in a cradle which I don't know if one exists. It defetes the idea of bluetooth to have to have an expensive cradle. I don't know if this is a verizon/motorola or Audi issue?

I had previously reported that the CalledID worked, but this morning I did some testing and it in fact does not. TheYoshi, thanks for taking the lead on this. It will be very interestinig to see if there are newer versions of MMI software that impact the bluetooth functionality.

You should be able to add more BT functionality for the V710 / VZW
with this this update:
download 14MB file (aka "superdave's" update):
http://www.inetron.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=29& func=selectcat&cat=1
other related threads:
http://www.inetron.com/
http://www.v710.mirrorz.com/
This should add all the BT functionality that VZW stripped out of their phones.
Good luck!

Answer calls from MMI: Yes
Hang up from MMI: Flaky

BTW, if I initiate a directory import from the car, I can get both the SIM and the phone directory information just fine. It's only the &*#$ "end call" that doesn't work. Everything else is incredible, including seamless transfers to my Jabra BT250.
