Overseas, Valcona leather is a regularly available option on the A6. In North America, we normally only get Volterra leather on the A6. The Volterra leather is far from crummy, but the Valcona leather in in a whole other league. Valcona leather is the only leather you can get on the A8/A8L/S8 in North America. Since special orders can be done for a price in North America can Valcona leather be special ordered on the A6 in North America? Also, I know that I have asked this question before, but can an amaretto headliner (normally reserved for the amaretto interior on the A8/A8L in North America) be special ordered with the amaretto interior on the A6? I would think that the answer is yes to both special orders for the A6. However, I don't want to make any assumptions. Perhaps Alex TTQ or somebody else knows a lot more than I do about special orders for Audis in North America.

I, too, thought that the statement about each seat material or hide has to be crash tested for the US. I also find it difficult to believe. Seat materials or hides have absolutely noting to do with crash protection or overall safety. Now seats themselves, that is a whole other story.
