Not that anyone listens to AM anymore....

My (new to me)CPO 2006 A6 3.2 seems to have very poor FM reception. It does not pick up any AM stations. My previous 2003 A6 had great radio reception. I'm due back at the dealer next week for some "minor adjustments" that were noted when I bought the car so I hope to have this resolved....

Has anyone else experienced problems with radio reception?

I use AM all the time for the local sports station. Likely your cable is loose...

That was what I was thinking...

I assume there are different connections for AM and FM??

Any idea on the weak FM?

u may want to vag it for faults,have had amps going out on antt for fm

for the record - I have not listened to terrestrial radio in YEARS...... sat and ipods only....

so I have not tried the AM in the A6,

but every other VAG prod I ever owned had horrible AM reception; 2 passats, a jetta, a golf and the a3........ I just assumed it was a VAG thing

If you're running a metallic tint, it'll cut down on radio reception considerably.

Visit your favorite tint shop and talk to them about swapping the tint out for more radio friendly tint.
