Weird no start issue

Hello all i recently purchase a 2008 A6 with the 3.2 engine. I got it for cheap cause it was having issues starting and thought i'd try my luck with it. When it would start it would run down the highway fine without any real miss fire issues, however the MIL comes on for the intake flaps being stuck shut. I believe however that wouldnt be the issue of no starting (I may be wrong but i would think stuck shut flaps would cause low power not a non start)
Couple of bullet points
Have access to RossTech cable
Fuel pressure was checked with mechanical gauge to verify sensor
Spark on all cylinders/coils
new fuel filter
new spark plugs
Here is where is gets really weird. If i try to start the car it will just crank and crank with no starting. However, if i pull out just 1 spark plug and coil (doesnt matter which) the car will start. I can put the plug back in with no coil and the car will start down one cylinder. I have literally no idea what is causing this, because i can switch whichever coil/plug and the same result will happen. After the engine warms up ill put the other coil back in and it will continue to start, however if i leave it sit for more than 5 mins i will get a no start and have to pull a coil out.
I know i'm missing some details and i've done much more work than whats listed I would just like to hear some more opinions from more of the Audi experts.
Thanks
