I cant start the car without the key in the ignition.

The start button doesnt work.

To bad there is no reset button for the car

I wonder if it has anything to do with the Treg, it also has the Advance Key funtion.

On Wednesday I had the Treg key with me when I left in the A6. It worked that morning, but when I came to it at lunch, no more A.K.

Any Ideas ?? Guess I will call the dealer on Monday if not.

So I tried a fix from the A8 side ....

Lock doors manually with key, unlock door manually with key.

Voila, Convenience/Advance Key reset and now it works.

one time, then was fine when I tried later. Also it failed to unlock twice when I pulled on the door handle. Now it works fine. I suggest you bring it up with the dealer.

Change the battery. My remote was suddenly iffy when cold weather arrived. The seat and the steering column would not adjust and it would only intermittently unlock the doors. After battery change all works as it should.

The battery is CR2032.
