Nice ride you got there... is that VMR v710? I was thinking to get the same wheels but in gunstock. If you dont mind me asking some Questions.
1. What offset are you running?
2. What is the wheel width?
3. What size tires you are using?
4. Are you using spacers?

Thanks... BTW nice drop with just H&R.

That is why I have asked this same question three times now.

Does anyone know what the lowering spec of springs mean?

Is it how many inches that spring will lower the car from factory springs?

As of right now, I'm leaning to H&R springs and Koni FSD. Since a4adam87 suggested a place near SD, that sell both parts.

I was thinking of doing the installation myself, but the price of tools (I know its a one time cost) is getting close to the price of installation. But does anyone know of a good DIY site for changing out the suspension on an A6?

Yea they are the V710. Personally i didn't like the gunmetal finish, just didn't seem right on a black car. I don't remember much about the wheel details. No need for spacers and i believe the width is 8". I'm running goodyear eagle F1 and they're 245/35/19. Tires are a bit noisy after a few thousand miles.

lowering specs are a comparison to factory specs. factory = base line.

so if they say 2.4"F and 2.2"R it means that the springs will lower the car 2.4" in the front and 2.2" in the rear. If you decide on something make sure you call and ask if they are using s-line or non s-line as base comparison... ask about settling... many (not all) springs/coilovers settle .5 - 1.5" in the rear... coilovers you can compensate... springs you are stuck... hope this helps
