What determines headliner color in 2005 A6?
Just curious.
After flip-flopping for a year over what I want to replace my college car with, I've finally started seriously looking at 2005 A6s (2005 because it's the oldest/cheapest of the current look, which I like best).
I'm hooked on the Amaretto interior, but think it looks pretty abhorrent with a grey headliner -- definitely need black. I actually prefer the non-S-line bumpers, so I'm hoping that the S-line package wasn't the determiner in whether or not the headliner was black.

Interior color choices are set by Audi AG to match the exterior color as well as...
reduce the possible color combinations (would be very expensive to have all possible color combinations). From the '07 A6 model booklet, the Amaretto seating gets a black headliner (don't know if it is the same for the '05 model year). The platinum and ebony seating colors get a silver headliner.

I'm looking at Brilliant Black 05s...
and every time I seem to find something that determines having a black headliner (sport package, exterior color, whatever...) (I'm mostly looking at eBay) I seem to find a contradicting example. I haven't found anything available in the literature in the model guide, so I was just wondering if anybody knew if there was a de facto determiner of the headliner color.
A 2005 Brilliant Black/Amaretto 3.2 non-S-line with a black headliner.. is that a possible find?
