My car is being delivered with 255/35/19 however the S6 has 265/35/19. Could I put the wider tire on my new car? If so will it throw off the speedometer? Anyone have a tire calculator to determine this? Is it worth the extra performance to go with 265s?

Yes, you can put 265 on. It will not affect the speedo at all since both tires are 35 in height. No you will not see any performance increase. There is absolutely no need to throw away $1,200 on this.

I don’t know about rubbing and fitment issues.

As for speedometer, there would be a -1.074% difference. An actual speed of 60 would show 59.3. No big deal.

DirtyVegasTT- the 35 is not a actual measurement. It is the ratio of sidewall to width. So with a 255/35-19 the side wall would be (255*.35)=89.25mm.And 92.75mm for the 265/35-19.

I don't think there will be any performance increase. There may be a difference if you change from all season to summer performance, but I don't know how much. It's probably not worth it.

I would be going from Conti OE summer tires to Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GTs. So is the speedometer in the S6 true with 265/35/19 or is it off by -1.074% as well?
