Default Will A8 D3 TPS work on our A6 C6?

Looking to get A8 wheels on my A6. Want to know if the installed TPS sensors on the A8 wheels will work with my car.

I don't think they are interchangeable. If you take a look at the TSB library thread you weill see that there is a TSB in the tire section explaining the two different systems.

Ok. Found it. It is two different systems between the cars, but does that necessarily mean that they do not use interchangable components (TPS)?

My Audi rep said that the two Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors have two different part numbers and are not interchangeable.

Kevin may be correct, I'm about to mount my A8 wheels which came with sensors on the A6 this week so I hope he misread . Any detailed info or bulletin on this switchover will be helpful...I couldn't pin down the TSB on this. I did read somewhere before I purchased the wheels that they broadcast on the same freq but that may not be enough?

A8 TPMS sensors will NOT work with the A6. I went through this problem when I installed my A8 wheels.
