I'm curious if the player will read cd's burnt in MP3 or whatever the other version is that allows media players to fit upwards of 60 songs on a disc.

OH that sucks big monkey *****. I was eventually like ok I can deal with not having the IPOD adapter thing.... If I can burn CD's where 6 would equal about 300 songs. I have a misc collection pushing around 3000 songs on my Ipod guess I will get the other thing. What are they called again. Denson gateways and some mmi thing correct? Which is better and more cost affective? Sorry a bit tired don't feel like reading thru to many forums tonight.

OK say your using windows media player. When you go to the burn area look for the little options tab open it. Then select burn as a data/dvd cd. When you do this it will change from how many minutes you can burn which is usually around 70ish. To Megabytes. It will be about 702mb most songs are no larger then 8ish megabytes. So do the math you should fit around 60-90 songs depending on size.

What are you guys on about? There are no different versions of MP3 files. It's just a compressed music file type. If you are burning a CD that can be played on any music CD player, then you're using a software which converts the MP3 back to uncompressed PCM version (WAV for WIndows and AIFF for Mac). That's why you can only fit 16 or songs on a CD. If you burn a MP3 CD, it should fit over one hundred songs.
At least in the US, MP3 capability wasn't available until MY2007. You can either purchase a MP3 capable changer or get a Denison Gateway to integrate iPOD/MP3 players for older C6. I believe either option will set you back around $400.
