My driver side window switch yesterday after I rolled down the window, I pressed the switch to close and it went like 3/4 of the way up and it stopped and then went down a little bit and then stopped and the window now was about 20% still open. After several attempts, the window finally closed completely. This was the very first time and so far only the driver side.
I told my wife not to open the driver side window in case the same thing may happen.
Does this mean I need to replace the window switch?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks a bunch

I did do a search but did not quite fit the problem I am having.
when I flipped the switch for the windows to go up, it would
go up and then stop, go down for a bit, then go up a little bit and then stop.

Rear passenger window went down with key in drivers door. Will not close. Go up half way and goes down. Repeats. Still down. Any help appreciated.

Spray some WD-40 in the channels. If dirt gets built up in the channel the friction of the window opening or closing is too much and it triggers the anti-pinch protection.
