The facelifted A8 was revealed in September, 2013 at the Frankfurt Auto Show. U.S. deliveries will begin this summer, about a nine month lag. Apply the same lag to the A7, and U.S. devileries should begin in February, 2015, as a 2016 model. This means the 2015 model year will be an abbreviated model year.

Gotcha. Well, lets see if I can play this waiting game. Have a benz dealer throwing me great cash incentives for a CLS and a bmw dealer who did quite well in convincing me to consider the 640 grand coupe. Saddening though, I was expecting to go into my audi dealer this afternoon and put in an order for the refresh model. The associates I spoke to all looked at me crazy when I mentioned it.

A new CLS will be at dealerships in Europe in September, announced in June. The 640 is too heavy and underpowered.

It was unveiled in July, 2010, and European deliveries began in late August or early September of 2010.

Hang on a sec. If you are saying that 2016 will be a whole new A7 design, that would only give 2012, 13, 14 and 15 to the current body style. That's a year short of a normal Audi design cycle, is it not?

Typically Audi comes out with new model. Sells it for 4 model years with minor changes, refreshes it with comestic tweaks and new electronics and sells it for 3 more model years. 2016 should be first year of refresh after first four model years.

Here's the newest order guide. It keeps getting revised as changes are announced; different revision dates for different models. I have a 2015 A7 TDI on order with a projected build date of 6/16/2014 and I'm hoping to get this new style that's just been released. The guide shows the LED headlights and head up display as standard now with the Prestige package, so maybe? It shows the same engines, but the engine upgrades were announced after this most recent guide was published so I would expect another revision. At least that's my hope.

Just finished talking to one dealer who thinks it'll be 2016 models that'll get the refresh.
