My personal experience (after the tuner advise) the car shifts quicker in manual mode letting it shift by itself than in S Drive mode (that gets activated anyways when you choose Dynamic mode) it does not matter if you have the 8speed or the 7speed dual clutch transmission. That is my personal opinion, my brother has a M3 and in the launch mode instructions the manual says to leave it in manual mode and let it shift by itself, so maybe the Audi is the same.

Regarding the octane rating, yes the 91 octane "sugar added" (10% ethanol) fuel that we have in California is crap, when I go to Mexico I can really feel the difference by just one octane point (Mexico is 92 aki) the car runs better, consumption is better, and there is no "corn syrup" in it.

I have a Ducati Diavel, the dealer had to replace the fuel tank, because the plastic used my Ducati expanded because of the ethanol used in the gas here, there was a huge class action lawsuit against Ducati because a lot of motorcycles tanks expanded.

Ducati's fault? Certainly not but they need to sell a product here that complies with the horrible fuel we have here.

As I said I will try to make a better video once I have the 100 octane aki map installed. In the S5 (same engine) you get 13 more horsepower just for the fuel.

Any ETA on when the GIAC tune would be available to the public?

It has been released today, I got my 100 octane map plus a valet one, they were so kind to include a switcher, I put 100 octane gas today I will post results soon, by the way the gains vs stock were 70+hp at 91 octane I can imagine north of 100+hp gains for the 100 octane fuel, the car FLIES!!!!!!

Good performance comparison of a stock A7 vs a chipped one... For what it's worth. Bottom line: I want!

How much is the ECU upgrade selling for? Where is it available? I called a local GIAC "authorized" shop, but they didn't have the A7 tune yet.

And that one in the video is "only" 359hp, mine had 349hp AT THE WHEELS, more like 390-400 in the real world.

By the way the gasoline quality DOES make a difference, please do not use Costco Gas unless you want to lose up to 15hp.

Dayummm. Thanks for sharing! You should make a similar video against a stock A7 or another car in the similar car class or hp class. It would be entertaining to see

Anyone in San Diego who wants to pledge his A7 for a video???
I asked the same thing in the S7 forum and nobody ever replied, I guess nobody wants to see his 20k+ car running as same as a tuned A7.
