A7 Fuel Economy 3.0T (US)
I thought it might be interesting for people who are interested in the A7 to find out what type of MPG we are getting. I currently have 4200 miles on the car and yesterday my wife and I drove 160 miles, about 95% on the freeway, and returned 28.4 mpg with the adaptive cruise set at 75 and with no stop and go traffic. Fin up of course. I think thats pretty good for a new vehicle. The last few fill ups of 50% city and highway have netted 24.4, 24.7, 22.4, 23.1 and 22.6 mpg all in October in Michigan. Premium Fuel and running on Conti DWS tires.

Did a similar 180 mile round trip yesterday and and on the outbound got 29.0 mpg - mostly at 75 or so with some stretches at 65 mph. Return trip had a bit more traffic but got 28.2 mpg. Impressive. I have just under 5000 miles.
I'd like your feedback on the Contintental DWS tires. I am planning on switching to those. After years of doing wheel swaps on my cars I am just going to switch to all seasons. If anybody wants a set of Yokohama 265/35/20's let me know.

It's sad but I have been averaging around 18 mpg with 50% city and freeway. The car has around 3000 miles right now. I don't know what is going on. Do you guys drive with comfort or dynamic mode on?

Click on my Fuelly badge below, it will take you to my Fuelly page. I commute 17 mi each way on surface streets. My best tank was 24.9 mpg, 75% city driving. My worst was 20.4 mpg, 60% city driving.
Fuelly.com makes it easy to track actual mileage, vs. whatever the MMI display estimates.
Cheers.

I just had my Conti DWS (265/35 ZR20) put on last week.
