I just posted a thread with similar topic. I ordered Daytona grey and it comes with Aluminum by default. I also wanted wood, but if you go look at the car in person, aluminum actually blends in more with black interior. If you've got the exterior color and features you want, just go with aluminum!

I think it only works with grays esp ice silver. The darker the color like black you want a warmer interior. It just works better

i have an idea that is a little odd but do-able you can get the the car with the ext&int color you like and then get ash wood from parts that if you can't live with it

my 2 cents: i think dark walnut is more durable (scratch resistance) due to the clear coat on it but not so sure about the ash wood but it looks great thought that's why I went with the walnut and not looking back
and IMO aluminum inlay on a luxury car just cheap it(I maybe think about it in an S model if carbon fiber inlay is not available but not in an A4-8)
