Did you have to get it programmed to do that? Others on this forum have said remote window/hatch operation was not possible without a VAG program.

I actually had a VAG-COM cable and VCDS before my car arrived. I already programmed Needle Sweep on Start and the turned on the RIP CD option. Next I am going to do Video in Motion and Advanced Key Window/Sunroof Open/Close.

It is hard to find VAG-COM codes that work on the A7. The Ross Tech site doesn't have anything. Codes for the A8 and newest A6 seem to work. So far, I have found two sources with codes that appear to work on the A7:
I feel that the $349 investment in VCDS is worth it, not only for the hobby aspect of being able to hack your car; but for the ability to self diagnose issues before showing up at dealer service.

Why aren't these features standard?!! If you can program them then Audi obviously considered them, right? I think they kinda suck for holding out on us! I'm upgrading soon anyway. Yes I'm whining.
