Default Cruise Control died in use

While cruising to Florida with my 2013 A-& the auto cruise control died while in use. After stopping for gas to fill-up, it began to work. Then during the return trip home the cruise control died again. After getting gas it was working again. Both times the tank was less than 1/4 full of gas.
Has another had the same exprience?

Did you get an error message? Mine did it several times this past December - message I received was "ACC & Audi Breaking Guard - currently unavailable. No sensor vision." It did it several times on the leg of a trip, has not done it since. I plan to do my first 5K oil change soon and will have it addressed then with the dealer. I can't imagine it has anything to do with fuel level.

Same thing happened to mine last weekend with the error message "ACC & Audi Breaking Guard - currently unavailable". Pulled into a parking lot, turned off the engine, powered off everything, but didn't lock the car. Came out to clean the ACC radars, just in case. Got back in the car, powered up and drove off - still no cruise and ACC, same error message. Drove another half hour, stopped into a 7-11 store. Got out, locked the car this time. Came back within 10 min, got back on the road, this time everything's working ok...and has been working fine since - "touch wood"! Just a computer glitch, I suppose.

"No sensor vision" Try cleaning the radar sensors and top middle of windscreen where image camera is. Happened to me after using a touchless car wash for my A7. Probably put a fine coating of wax over them. Didn't clear after first clean of just the radar sensors but did after doing all. Also occasionally happens when I go through a particular tunnel and thinking in may get condensation on it then and about 5 minutes before again available.
