Default Finally some true Dyno numbers at the wheel

So I'll be driving to Stasis in summit point tomorrow for their flash tune. I've called a buddy of mine and will be doing a baseline dyno on a completely bone stock car tonight, and i'll post the results. I'll also do a post tune dyno and see what the difference will be weather today and tomorrow should be about the same so this'll be as close to same variables as possible. All runs will be on the same Dynojet all wheel drive load bearing dyno, Dynojet 424xLC2. Hopefully this will give some true real world numbers for everyone to go by. stay tuned for a dyno chart tonight. i'll be going on the dyno around 5 today.

you will get a gain of around 70hp and 35tq at the wheel (peak), that's what I got and that is what others have gained with a tune, either Stasis or GIAC, the problem that we ALL have is that we do not know the real drivetrain loss and Audi stock published numbers are really hard to believe (underrated) so no one knows the real base stock numbers, the real numbers will be for someone to actually pull the engine out and see what is exactly the HP and torque with and without a tune, but that is very very expensive.

just got back from the the dyno here's the chart and some pictures, i'd be really impressed if i saw 70 WHP, i guess we'll see, i'm skeptical of seeing that much to the wheels but we'll see, these numbers don't mean much by themselves we'll see what the delta is to get an idea of how much the tune is really doing. i'll be on the dyno again tomorrow around the same time.
run 1: 271 AWHP 328 AWTQ

Exactly what I meant, you are getting the same torque published by Audi at the wheels and only 12% drivetrainloss in the horsepower, that is not a realistic number for a car with a Quattro tiptronic. So we do not know the real horsepower only the delta,

Regarding the delta, my car had a delta of +68 HP and +28tq at the wheels

Jr'sAudiA6 had a delta of +73hp and 39.5tq at the wheels.

In neither case the stock numbers made sense with a drivetrain loss of around 20% or more because mine had 281hp and 296tq and his had 244hp and 272tq (only his horsepower stock number makes sense with Audis number but not his torque)

Anyways every single Dyno pulls different numbers because of different circumstances I hope you see the advertised gains in your car, good luck.

Looking forward to the post tune dyno! All I know is that the Stasis ECU tune made the A7 much more fun.

Curious that the torque peaked so early at 2300 RPM and then decreased.

I just did another Dynolicious short run this morning with an almost empty tank, torque braking and manual max shifting and .....Wowza:

0-60 MPH = 4.45s and Max HP = 384

It felt fast and I actually got a bit of that dizzy rush. Love this car! Had to let off the throttle at 90 MPH so did not improve the 1/4 mile time.

so here are both the baseline and stasis tune overlaid on top of each other, the peak numbers are great with the horsepower but don't show the entire story with the torque, the area under the curve is significantly better with the stasis tune, and although peak torque didn't gain a ton, at every point under the curve there is anywhere from 30-100 ft lbs, the peak from the baseline run has a spike right at the beginning of the run so isn't completely accurate, but area under the curve is phenomenal

Baseline Avg whp = 271.41 whp
Stasis Tune = 344.94 whp
Delta = 73.53

Baseline Avg wtq = 324.86 wtq
Stasis Tune = 338.97 wtq
Delta = 14.11 wtq

Excellent work! Thanks for sharing. That makes sense since the engine jumps when you stomp the go pedal right to 4.5 K RPMs making for a great shove to your back. That is a good place for healthy torque and HP gains and with Stasis, you get healthy boost for both while HP builds even faster than normal. The fast car is even faster now!

Hello....I just had my A7 Stasis ECU tuned plus I have a Injen intake. I live in the DC area and thinking about getting mines Dyno. How much did they charge to have this done? Thx in Advance.
