Default Front license plate holder holes

I have seen photos of A7s in the US that don't have the front license plate holes that hold the holder. I just took mine plate holder off today and there are 4 holes where the screws go.

Is it an option to get that black plastic piece in the grille without the front license plate holes? Just curious.

Yes, no charge option...you have a choice (depending if your state requires a front plate)

Front grille filler panel (option code 6w9) or Front License plate holder (option code 6w3).

Do you know if it's possible to get the filler panel even though the front license plate holder has been installed?

I am sure it's possible... I can't imagine the part would cost more than $150. The question would be how long would it take to order...Is Washington a state that requires license plates in the front? If not and the dealer ordered the front license plate filler, then I would use that as leverage.

Good luck.
