Plans are to mount it in the grill so the plate is in the normal location. Looks like a couple of vertical supports would have to be cut.

I would be concerned about snow (where I live) and curbs. Otherwise...that is friggin cool.

I'm in Chicago too (Gold Coast/LP) and have refused so far to put a front plate. I have gotten 3 or 4 tickets while parked, and at $60, it's worth it to me personally. If someone told me it'd cost me $20 a month to not have a front plate, I would say yes. That's basically where I'm at Only time will tell if I put one on. The stow-and-go option seems nice, but I wonder what it looks like installed with a front on view.

We could have it installed directly above the lower front valence. It would not be noticeable. Any good car Audi shop can do it
