Help- Advice Need on Rims
I bought a set of rims for my Audi A7 TDI a while ago. Somehow the wheel company has some bad data on the A7 and they sold me a 18+ offset. The rims and tires stick out beyond the wheel well and when I hit a big bump the tire hits the quarter panel. The 18+ offset give me about 35mm clearance on the brake caliper. According to the wheel maker there should only be 5mm clearance. I have been trying to work it out with the wheel company. Now they are saying they have the same wheels in a 37 offset. But they are saying in their experience they wont fit. That I may need a 10mm spacer to get the rim to clear the caliper. I have told them there is 35mm clearance now. They said if that is the case they should fit. I need some advise to make sure I don't get another set shipped that don't fit. Can someone help me with some advise?

I have 20x10 ET 40 and needed 5mm spacers to clear, so an effective offset of 35mm. You definitely don't need a 10mm spacer. There doesn't appear to be too much room between the caliper even with that tho, however I have no rubbing issues.

Keep in mind...
Just because the off-set is 35mm, does not always mean a wheel will fit. The curve/ style of the spokes can make a difference in whether a wheel will fit or not.
I've seen it too many times.
