Default HOMELINK - Any Useful Tips

I'm having problems with new A7 (3 days old) and Homelink. Would like any helpful tips from current owners. I've confirmed my opener is Homelink family and have replace battery in transmitter
and still no success.

Someone on the forum posted a step-by-step instruction on how to program the homelink. The manual is flawed and I believe you want to push the homelink button 3 times instead of 2 times after you hold your transmitter in front of your grille. Try to do a search and see what you find.

Is there a way to program homelink without having the garage door opener "learn"? I live in an apartment building with a garage door opener and I don't have access to have the garage system learn? What do you do in situations like this?

I suggest get a ladder and find on the mechanism (lift machine itself) the button for sending signal to your MMI-lead system prompts.
Maybe the Superintendant could help.

If you keep repeating the programming of the car, and test it every time (without touching the door opener itself), sooner or later you hit the programing that works. I have done this on my A7 and took 7 or 8 tries.
