So my family is planning a trip to the local drive-in; first time since we got the A7. We obviously won't be keeping the engine on the whole time, but the radio automatically turns off within a preset amount of time after I shut off the engine. I know there's a Vag-com tweak to extend that time, but I don't have access to the hardware/software right now. Will I just have to turn everything back on every 20 minutes (or whatever the default period is), or is there a way to keep the radio on manually? Pressing a button periodically, etc.?

When the system shuts down just press the screen up/down button on your dash that is located next to the centre dash vents. That will turn the MMI back on.

It might be a good idea to give it a dry run in the driveway. IIRC, the DRL's are on when the ignition circuits are powered up.

Good to know. Thanks. I'll play around with it a bit. I'm still hoping to find a way to keep the system "awake" preemptively, rather than getting it to turn back on after it shuts off, but this is a good fall-back option.
