Keyless entry

I have frequently return to my locked car and grab the door handle only to have the car lock itself again. I've tried touching the handle several more times in a row with the same result only to give up and open with the key fob. Any ideas?

This drove me nuts the first few weeks I had my car. You have to avoid any contact with the front of the handle near the square button or it will lock again. I found that just putting my four fingers behind the handle easily unlocks. When you want to lock just touch the square and it will lock. It takes a second to recognize and unlock so avoid the urge to grab the handle or it will lock again.

Also, if the car has been off for awhile and it has gone into "sleep" mode, while avoiding the square sensor, a first pull or touch of the handle wakes the system and a second pull is required to open the door.

Most of the time I approach the car from the rear. While walking by I put my fingers inside the rear left door handle, touch and keep going. By the time I am at the driver door, it is unlocked and I can just grab the handle and open the door.
