Lead Time for N.A. Deliveries
My experience with delivery 1st week September is 4 months (to Toronto area) from confirmation of order. Is this a good guide to tell others or is it getting shorter?

I think it depends on when in the month you order. My dealer told me production starts on the 8th of each month.
I ordered in July and got the following schedule:
Production update: week of 08/08/2011
Ship load. Emden/Germany: 08/24/2011
Ship dock San Diego: 09/19/2011
Release to Trucking: 09/23/2011
ETA Audi San Francisco: 10/03/2011

after Port Inspections etc. released to Car-Carrier 09/20 -

Oct 3 ETA sounds familiar as I have received the same ETA for my Q5 ordered on May 31. Per my sales rep (central coast, CA), the ship was out of production by Aug 22 and the ETA to loading onto the ship was Aug 30. Haven't heard anything since then... Do you have any updates from your dealer?
