Default LED Lights project evenly?

When Im driving at night, my LED headlights project higher on the right side. You can see the "hump" just right of center.

I asked my dealer if this is normal, and their reply was the lights self-level each time you turn them on, and they couldnt be off.

I find it odd, as it is a very abrupt rise. The further My lights reach/project, the bigger the height difference. My question is, couldnt the self leveling mechanism be off?

Anyone else have this "issue"? It might even be a feature, for all I know.... lol

Thanks

Johnny

I think it might be to keep the light out of the oncoming traffic. If the left were as high it might be in the eyes of oncoming drivers. Just a thought, nothing to support it, but my S6 does the same. And they do level each time I turn the car on, you can see them dip and then rise back up.

Bingo, my BMW was calibrated the same way and my A7's also exhibit the same pattern. Drivers side is lower than the passenger side by a pretty sizeable amount.

LED and xenon lights on all cars are calibrated like this to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Exactly what I was looking for.. Thank you all for your replies...

The "country lighting" is what I notice the most, of course it must be because Im driving home from work late, on long stretches of two lane roads, getting back into the "city".

I have spotted many deer, though....

Thanks Again!

This illustration is for non-U.S. Nav based adaptive light assistance cars. The lights on U.S. cars are calibrated somewhat differently. Low beams would probably be somewhere in between City and Country lights with the pattern being similar to Country. Motorway lights would be equivalent to High Beams and there are no Junction lights as such although the C7 has either adaptive swiveling headlights (with Xenon headlights) or side/down pointing all-weather LED lights that come on as the steering wheel is turned at lower speeds (LED headlights). As a side note, all C7's have automatic headlight vertical leveling when the car is turned on to compensate for vehicle load angle.
