The dealer told me they spent an hour driving around and found no issues with the sound quality (using an iphone), so they blamed my phone (Samsung Galaxy note II). They said they also checked the service bulletin, but that was not it.

I find it hard to believe the phone could be the reason, but I guess it is plausible.

Anyone else have issues with Android phones? Would also be nice to hear if someone has the same with an iphone to rule out the phone type

The sound quality on my Galaxy S3 is awesome. I am amazed that I can speak at a normal volume, turn my head all over the place and callers can still hear me clearly. Callers always assume I am sitting at my desk. They act surprised when I tell them I am in my car.

I have an appointment on Friday and recorded a message at normal highway speeds to show them the actual condition. I use and iphone and it will be interesting to see their response. Very frustrated as the sound level at my end is fantastic but i constantly receive complaints and have trouble with tone/password dialing access as the systems are clearly struggling to overcome the noise from the car.

Took the car in yesterday and they fully acknowledged that Blue is an ongoing Audi issue. After examination and discussion with Audi usa they offered to replace microphone which I should have back on Monday. Will let you know if it works.

Got the car back yesterday and dealer was great. They found TSB 2027718/4 for this issue and removed roof control unit. The rubber seal was damaged and they replaced the microphone set.
So far it seems to be working much better, time will tell but so far very pleased with results and their efforts to remedy the situation.
