i was very surprised with this when audi unveiled it a week or so ago. The new Audi A7 has a couple new features that the A8 D4 doesn't even have such as active lane assist and park assist(parallel parks the car for you!). why wouldn't they put this in their flagship sedan? im a huge fan of audi and love the new A7 and A8 and audi will dominate with these two incredible new vehicles. thanks in advance for any comments/thoughts on this.

I also forgot to mention the new Audi A7 has a heads up display, and stop&go function which the new A8 lacks. Sorry if im missing any new feature, please feel free to comment

I suspect we'll see the new electromechanical drive steering system make its way into other Audi platforms in short order, following a little "real world" time in the A7. The stop & go and heads-up windshield display will probaby also migrate over to the A8, but perhaps they hadn't finalized those two systems in time for the D4's launch. Also, not sure the D4's night vision assistant with pedestrian warning system would work via the heads-up windshield display.

I heard somewhere that the new steering system isn't suited to the A8 for some reason - I'll ask the question if I ever get to speak to the product specialist again. But I've also read articles saying that the new steering system would be available in the A8 hybrid. It's all rumours at the moment I guess.
I'm not sure about the night vision on heads up . But on the UK site it does say "warnings" are shown by the system. That could just mean car warnings for example . I'd expect brakeguard warnings and too close for cruise control alerts at least.
