Default Stage I

I have the APR Stage I on a 2012 A7 and recently got a CEL. The dealer (Audi, not APR) diagnosed it as a high pressure fuel pump and replaced it under warranty. They didn't mention anything about the tune. The light came a few days later after a high speed run but later went out. It came back on again and has stayed on. There is no change in the car's behavior. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

So you had a CEL the dealer fixed the fuel pump and the CEL issue was resolved, and now you have it again? I would go back to the dealer and diagnose the car again
You are not the first one who has had waranty worked performed in an A7 or A6(C7) car with no issues, maybe the old TD1 thing happened more in other kind of ECUs

Thanks. I took it in this morning and turns out there is a recently released recall to address this issue; it involves a software update. When I get it back, I will post what was actually done.

I am glad it is being resolved. I am planning in getting stage II in a couple of weeks ;-).

Turns out it was the fuel rail recall that people have been posting about.

Hi all,
Trying to decide if I really need Stage II or Stage I may be sufficient. The car seems to have a pretty wicked acceleration but the lag bothers me.

What's your take after using Stage I and then going to Stage II?

I really don't need to hit extended 100+mph speeds, what i'm really looking for is maximum passing and catching-up power.

Your opinions/advice is appreciated.

Thank you.

If you do the stage I first then you will be itching for the stage II, and I think it might be cheaper for having both stages at the same time, the only thing you need to pay extra is for the labor for the pulley installation, but I say go for it I had 4.1 seconds accelerations 0-60mph when I had my car.

As the benefactor of feralc's "downsizing", I am definitely enjoying the Stage II power and acceleration.

Greg, your car is faster than my Ferrari. I assure you that.
The Ferrari feeling is INCREDIBLE and way more involving, lighter, etc, but if you just step on the gas with Quattro and 460hp, you will beat me for sure.
