Hey ErnestHouse, good luck with your purchase.. Given that this is a A7 forum, there is bound to be biased feedback on your purchase.. 
And yes, as you noted, this car is a hit in Asia.. it just didnt click sales wise in the US.. End of the day, what it means to you is what matters! So, congrats and enjoy your new car!

Garnet is lighter and more on the orange spectrum. Its also a pearl effect rather than a metallic.

That's all old news recycled from years ago. The 5GT meets quota and sells well in asia. It's also one of those cars that looks are very different in person and it was redesigned in the back in response to criticisms. Some from people who've never seen it, some who are just biased against anything that isn't a go-cart for grown ups, some who've not driven it and some who can't afford one and various combinations. Regardless, my ego and self esteem doesn't need affirmation from sales or critics. I could have laid down plenty of criticism of the A7 and Audi but I don't need to. There's plenty of very nice features of the 5 GT that are simply out of reach to the A7 buyer; headroom and ride height just two of them.

I saw the new 2014 BMW 3 series GT hatchback displayed in Franfurt Germany's airport. IMO, it looked better than the 5 series GT. When you are inside the 5 series GT, it feels luxurious and more spacious than the A7 - so I think I understand Ernest. It's like being inside the interior of an A6, it feels luxurious but I don't like how the A6 looks outside. I must admit that the 5 GT is odd-looking, but I'd take it anyday than the BMW X5 or X3.
I've driven the new S6, and the interior is one of the best with the diamond designed leather seats - but for some reason, I just can't get excited around the A6/S6 exterior looks. The A7 prestige exterior is one of the best looking Audi, next to my S5, of course However, once I feel like replacing my S5, next stop is an A7 or an S7 if I can afford it, considering I'd like to pay off my house first.
