Funny you should mention this. I was talking to my wife this morning about her A8. We purchased it almost exactly 2 years ago - a 98 4.2 Q, in near perfect condition ( a few minor scratches), Audi Assured, all options except Winter package and with only 19,000 miles - for $36,000. I thought that I stole it.
It now has 50,000 miles a few more scratches but otherwise in quite good shape. Based upon what I can tell, I might be able to sell it for 22-24. So much for letting the first owner take the big hit.
