01 S8 with 65,000 now on ebay
this was listed for the last couple weeks on autotrader- Curious to see where the bidding goes

Good points, I would most likely agree that it's a wantabe
You can't see the front brakes, so there's something else, I'm trying to see how it sits to see what kind of suspension it has.
Sure doesn't have H&R's, and I don't know if it's low enough to be an S8, but the front wheel gap looks a little lower than a stock A8.
The wheels obviously aren't stock S8 wheels and I too have never seen a US bound S8 without sport seats.
The dash looks as if it might of been changed? Any opinions there?
It is a nice looking car, but it very well could be not an S8. Maybe I should drive to Holland MI to take a peak!

2000 8L with 145/45 18 BBS RC -- very similiar looking to the shoes on the vehicle in question.
The gap on my car looks the same. I have the stock suspension. My wheel combo is identical in height to the stock 17's w/ 225/55/17's.
I'd say this EBay car does not look like a lowered (sport or S8 or HR-sprung) vehicle.

This car is in my backyard (about 5 miles from my house). Alan Christian Motorcars is a reputable dealer in Holland, however I had questions on the seats and spare also. Let me know if anyone wants me to take a peak for them. I have a digital camera.
