'01 S8 oil filter help

'01 S8 oil filter help
I changed the oil and filter in my '01 S8 this weekend. It's a different cannister from my 99 A8. There were 2 (1 big, 1 small) O rings with the filter. Where does the small one go??

The small one *may* be the one for the plug used to drain the main canister.
My plug is stuck and my kits only have the big o-ring that fits in the recess of the canister itself so I just make a mess. I would love to source that small o-ring. From where did you get your kit and what brand is it?

Thanks. The plug was so tight that I just left it in when I took off the canister. Next time I'll know better.
