04 A8 Snow tires and wheels to replace 19's?

Got the suspension fixed - no trouble for 4 straight days. So, assuming I keep the car after its probation period, where do I get the BEST snow tires and wheels so I don't have to slide through winter on the 19's? I apologize if this question has been posted before.
I'm considering a Cayenne or other SUV rather than 2 grand worth of wheels and tires, but will appreciate recommendations.

in 235/50-18 (for the D3). From everything I've heard, Nokian makes an absolutely outstanding Winter tire. Other excellent winter tires are made by Bridgestone, Dunlop, and Pirelli. [I use the Pirelli 210.] You won't believe the capability of your new A8L with the dedicated winter tires from any of these companies.
This is a pic of Nokian's homepage and the Hakkapeliitta 2, it contains no links.

Michelin makes what is touted to be an excellent all season high performance tire in their Pilot Sport A/S. I am planning on getting these in 19s or buying 18" wheels with these tires.

Can one use these on the 19" rims on the 04? Or do you need different rims as well?
I gave the 19s their first checkout last night on the way home from a very late hearing - wow! On a freeway turn that was handled very well by my 97 A8 - but where you knew you were pushing the limit - with the 04 you could hardly tell there was a turn at all.
There's not much snow here in Sacramento, but I am a little concerned about the wet weather performance and lifetime of the factory tires that came with the 19s. Suggestions?

I wouldn't hesitate to use the PZero Rosso year round. It only might start having wet traction problems once it's near the end of it's tread life. The Rosso is a good all-weather tire, as long as the weather doesn't include snow or ice.
